Entertainment News Feature: History of the Hollywood Bowl
Hollywood has managed to become one of the biggest names in the world, especially in the world of movie productions. As a matter of fact, there is a pretty good chance that every single person that lives in the world knows about or at least has ever heard of the name Hollywood. With that being said, it seems quite sensible for the company to hold a celebration in the honor of the great name. In the middle of this October, a Hollywood Bowl event is about to take place. Needless to say, enthusiasts are coming from all parts of the globe.
The event Hollywood Bowl was carried out for the very first time back in the year 1922. Until now, the Hollywood Bowl is still known to be the biggest natural amphitheater in the United States of America. In fact, it even turns out to be the biggest amphitheater among others that exist in this world.
Featuring a total number of 18,000 seats, this venue will be the host to the event “A Decade of Difference: A Concert Celebrating 10 Years of the William J. Clinton Foundation” on October 15. In this particular event, some very well known names in the world will also perform. The names include Usher, K’naan, Bono, Lady Gaga, The Edge, Juanes, and Kenny Chesney.
As always, visitors can always expect to encounter some spectacular opening ceremonies while attending the Hollywood Bowl event. On June 17 this year, for instance, the event was opened with a very attractive display of fireworks. This amazing event took place in Hollywood, California.
The Hollywood Bowl actually began simply with wooden benches in 1928. Back then, visitors would have to sit on benches scattered all over the Bolton Canyon hillsides. The venue is located at Los Angeles and is now one of the largest amphitheaters the world has ever seen. Ten years later, 30,000 worshipers managed to gather at this particular venue for the purpose of attending Easter Sunday service. It took place on April 17.
Then, around 2 months later, on June 5 the same year, the venue witnessed the gathering of the people involved in the Masonic organizations along with their family members. Those people gathered to attend a special service.
It was not until the year 1962 that the modern California amphitheater was shown to the public. Since that year, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has been using the venue as their home.
